Sustainable and advanced materials
01 Bio-fibre production
3-stage pyrolysis technology
We use green chemistry principles to transform natural and waste cotton cellulose, linen and other organic fibers into high purity multi-layered micro-carbon tubes. The resulting bio-fibre is chemically neutral, thermally stable up to 600°C and resistant to corrosion and solvents.
02 High Performance Batteries (LIB)
New generation anodes
Our functionalized Bio-fibers reach a specific capacity of approximately 400 mAh g-1, outperforming conventional commercial graphite. This material reduces initial raw material costs by 26-32% per tonne, while increasing the energy density and cycling stability of the batteries.
03 Organic stealth materials
Radioabsorbent materials (RAM)
We are developing nanocomposites combining bio-fibers, nano-magnetite and spinels to absorb electromagnetic radiation in the extremely broad bandwidth of 7 - 400 GHz. These ultra-lightweight coatings with a specific weight of 1.0 - 1.5 kg/m3 provide protection for aerospace and safety equipment.
GRAFENTECH
With private capital in excess of €1,000,000, our dedicated R&D laboratory operates at a confirmed TRL 4-5 technology readiness level.
